The gaming community has diversified in the last ten years in the west. Millions have found themselves picking up new fangled controllers and waving them frustratedly at screens, playing with their whirly majig internet phones on the way to work and many sitting, chatting with friends after a long day, playing their watch-a-magoos on social networking sites.
What was seen as a foreign entertainment to many has now become a lot more mainstream and accepted in society.
When it comes to demographics, there have been two clear sides in the last 15 years or so of gaming, but a third has risen in recent years that could change the direction in what the industry plans.
